TRAVEL GUIDE: The PaRK (Pacific Recreation Kamp) and Balabag Falls

OK Gang @ The PaRK

The Pacific Recreation Kamp has a typical beauty of nature you can
find in every parts of Quezon Province. You will start to appreciate the place
and its cool side trips. And when you are with these bunch of crazy, hyper people, you will find yourself realizing that this type of adventure is going to be GREAT!

OK Gang (Asiong!)
Everyone, meet the Gang.

We gather somewhere in Makati.

It is almost 10:00am in the morning when our group were complete,
it's so hard to organize these kolokoys specially
if you are a total of 22 persons.
By the way our call time was 7:00AM Haha

When we reached Tanay, Rizal
everyone wants to climb up to the top of the Jeep.

We call this guy "GymLord"
GymLord @ Tanay Public Market
We need to stop at Tanay Public Market where we will buy the raw foods that we will cook for later.

There were a series of stop over on our trip,
some started to play card game "pusoy" or poker in english.

It was about 5:00pm when we arrived at the resort.
The dusk fills in the sky.

We rented a house and a videoke for our group.
And after we ate, the party started! yeah!

Who's tipsy there?

Pork Adobo as our Pulutan

Late night and some are still drinking alcohol

While others fall into a deep sleep. :D

 Day two
The real adventure is about to begin. wahaha
I woke up early to catch up the beautiful sunrise by the sea
but then, clouds were filling the whole sky and the sun can barely be seen.
However, there were times that the sun was like a child playing hide and seek
and I took advantage to take a couple of shots.

Not wasting my time, I also took some long exposure shots.
because the sun was rising too fast and I need to be more quick,
for me not to waste the "Golden Hour" for photographers.
By the way I'm using my Nikon D5200 with just a kit lens
and an ND Filter very much amateur here.

a cool view of the river flowing to the sea.

From 8am in the morning up until 11am, all we just do was swim.
Playing with the waves and try a bit skimming.
We were not able to find an instructor to teach others who want to learn how to surf. The waves were fairly strong and
numerous rocks were at the shore. Some say the sea beds here are a bit deep.

We took some rest first before we go to BALABAG FALLS!

We drove around 20-30 minutes before we reach the entrance of Balabag Falls. The caretaker of the falls will approach you and
will ask you for an entrance fee of 20 pesos.
There was a 5 minute trek before we reached the Balabag falls.

Balabag falls consist of 2 levels of waterfalls.
The bottom level has a deep reservoir so it is used as a swimming area while
the top level has a shallow reservoir. Many of us decided to take pictures first before having a cool shower because of the nice view. Just be careful climbing up to the top level. The steps are slippery, steep and even I had a rough time climbing it.

Quezon Province will never ran out of beauty of nature and with a cheap budget, you will never have second thoughts to take this kind of trips. The PaRK and Balabag Falls is the two out of the many travel destinations you can visit and we all know that this region has so much to offer.
